I am very surprised by this review. Robin notified me last week that the cornelian fell out of here setting after eight months of wear. She was very upset and I offered to inspect the setting and replace the stone at my own expense. I have tried to rectify the situation yet she seem to only be looking for a refund. \n\nAll of the projects I did for her were completed well within the estimated time and I have dozens of emails confirming the approval of design and customization for her stones.\n\nAfter this particular ring was modified and delivered she sent me a photo of it on her finger saying "I love this ring more than I ever imagined I would! Thank you for putting up with my craziness." \n\nAs to my photos and location where I meet clients. \n- My website photos are close-up photos to show detail. They are not altered in any way. \n- I occasionally meet local clients, like this one, that don't want to travel to NYC at my public library. \n- Club Quarters is not a hotel. It is a private members only executive club in NYC.\n\nFurther, in her review of me, on this site, among other things she discussed my professionalism. http://theperfectsetting.com/products/rustic-diamond-studs-hammered-bezel-white-gold \n\nI take great pride in my work, the process and the finished product. I love what I do and I hope she will still enjoy the other beautiful pieces of jewelry I made as nothing I do or offer at this point seems to make her happy.\n\n- Amy Certilman, Owner of The Perfect Setting
I would never do business with Amy Certilman again! The first pieces she did for me were fine. \n\nEmails clearly stated that I would see and evaluate a wax cast before making final decisions about resetting my diamond. I approved the CAD designs, but never saw or approved the wax casting. The ring was delivered in the dark vestibule of a public library. I didnt have time to inspect it, as Amy was late for another appointment. I soon realized it was many sizes too big and fell far short of expectations. \nI emailed Amy about my concerns, reminding her the ring would be worn daily and needed a substantial bezel to hold my stone. The side stones were disappointing and substantially smaller than they appeared in the CAD rendering. She refused to refund my money. \n\nWe came up with another design, to reset my diamond with side stones. The ring was delivered without them. I paid for that ring as well. \n\nAmy reset a carnelian in the original setting. As soon as I saw the bezel, I doubted it would hold up. It didnt! The stone fell out and went down the drain. It was worn less than 5 months. That would have been my diamond. Amy refused to meet at a mutually convenient place. In NYC she meets customers in the waiting area of the Club Quarters Hotel, and on LI at her public library. \n\nMy complaints are workmanship, timeliness, and follow through with agreed upon details regarding the construction of her designs. \n\nBeware! On the website designs are magnified and misleading.
